Decent hotel in New Orleans at a good price?

I have been to New Orleans many times. I find a hotel online at a decent price with good reviews and nice pictures, etc. It always turns out to be a horrible hotel. Can anyone tell me about a a nice hotel that is affordable? We are staying in a condo, but need a hotel for one extra night. Thanks!

The hotels on http://www.frenchquarterhotels.com/ are all good, and most have great rates for summertime.

The Hotel Villa Convento often has the best rates for inside the French Quarter and has free parking for guests: http://www.villaconvento.com/

You don’t give the date of the night you need, but summer is low season in New Orleans and even the upscale hotels are offering deals.

For example, the Omni Royal Orleans, Royal Sonesta, Monteleone, Sheraton (Canal Street), Le Pavillion, and JW Marriott (Canal Street) are all under $150. The Bourbon Orleans is under $100 right now.

Good luck!
